1. Who we are

For payment data, we act as a data controller for our own processing and as a processor on behalf of the merchants who use Linkapay.
2. Data we collect
We collect only what is needed to run payments:
- Contact and account details for merchants, such as name, work email and store details.
- Transaction data such as amount, currency, time and a token that represents the payment method.
- Limited technical data such as device and browser information used to recognise a returning customer and to keep payments secure.
3. Why we process it
We process data to take and settle payments, to recognise returning customers who have opted in, to prevent fraud, to meet legal and card-network obligations, and to provide support and improve the service. We do not sell personal data.
4. Card data
Card details are captured directly by our PCI DSS Level 1 environment and stored as network tokens. Raw card numbers are not stored on merchant servers and are not exposed to merchants. A customer can remove a saved method at any time.
5. Sharing
We share data only with the parties needed to complete a payment — card networks, banks and acquiring partners — and with service providers bound by contract. We also share data where the law or a regulator requires it.
6. International transfers
Where data is transferred outside your region, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses, so your data keeps an equivalent level of protection wherever it is processed.
7. Retention
We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes above and to meet legal and accounting obligations, after which it is deleted or anonymised.
